We are proud to be among the oldest continuous chapters in the 50-year history of the society.
Our Healthcare industry client in Missouri (Greater St. Louis) is currently in need of Technical Writers with Healthcare background to help them document functional specifications for their application development and upgrade activities. You will document user requirements and current business systems, procedures, and problems as well as functional specifications for their claims/billing application. They also need a companion guide.
Required:
5 to 8+ years experience documenting business applications (preferably billing and or claims) and technology solutions for health care or related industry. Must have prior experience writing functional specifications. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and application or systems development methodologies. Strong background in working with users and Subject Matter Experts to elicit and develop requirements and specification documentation. Prior experience as a Business Analyst a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage your deliverables with minimal supervision.
Coordinate and communicate well with business partners, End Users, corporate support areas, IT organization and external partners, at all levels of the organization.
Document health care business processes and functional requirements.
Identify opportunities for documentation improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing company and should end up being a long-term contract. Consultants local to St. Louis are preferred.

1983 - St. Louis hosted the 30th annual STC Conference (know then as the ITCC Conference).
1999 - The chapter started the Corporate Sponsorship program which was a first for STC.
2000 - St. Louis won the Pacesetter Award for the Corporate Sponsorship program.
2002 - St. Louis hosted the Region 6 Conference.
2004 - Celebrated our 40th birthday.
